Beyoncé Gives $100,000 in Scholarships to Historically Black Colleges

Last year, Beyoncé launched the HOmecoming Scholars Award Program, awarding scholarship money to young women attending four specific universities. Now, it has been announced that the BeyGOOD Initiative is pivoting to something called the Homecoming Scholars Award, giving out $25,000 to one student from each of the following historically black colleges and universities: Xavier University, Wilberforce University, Tuskegee University and Bethune-Cookman University.
As Rolling Stone reports, all students in the eligible disciplines (literature, creative arts, African American studies, science, education, business, communications, social sciences, computer science and engineering) will be eligible, with finalists and winners to be determined by the universities.
